I visited my sister in Marseille for a few days, and I was mesmerized by the transformation of this city. It has become a spirited city with the renovation of the neighborhood “le Panier”: cafés and art galleries, amazing murals and street art. The most remarkable icon of this neighborhood however, is “Le Mucem”, an astonishing building with walls of concrete lace, a peaceful place almost floating over water, where you can relax and reflect.
Marseille also has a lot to offer on the gourmet front with signature treats like the pastis (an anise flavored drink), the bouillabaisse (a fish stew), and a lot of fish.
My sister made a delicious tuna mousse, refreshing and tasty.
Ingredients
- 1 can tuna (about 1/2 pound)
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 lemon juice
- 1 small shallot, chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped chives
- Salt and pepper
- Pita chips or baguette for serving
Instructions
Process the tuna, cream cheese, shallot and lemon in a food processor until you obtain a smooth mousse, about 2 minutes.
Season with salt and pepper. Mix in the chives.
Serve with pita chips or baguette.
